  3. Elevated: Snow Culture- Niklas Höiem Edit

    Niklas Höiem has done it again with another sick freeskiing edit. Check out how his season wrapped up and watch the video below. Niklas is a Swedish freeskier for the Elevated team. He rides at Åre, Fågelcrib, and all around the north of Sweden. He just joined our brand this year and we've been incredibly pumped to have him with us.     Vite C Skinpack and friends getting sunburnt at the 2014 Mashed Potato Meltdown. When you grow up in a mountain town you find creative ways to have fun during the season the rest of the world calls Spring, but which you know as all of the snow is melting so only a few more weeks to ski/snowboard, not quite warm enough for the lakes, not really sure what to do with myself anymore season. The best thing to do is round up your friends, put your heads together and go film something ridiculous.     Straight from Onboard Snowboard Magazine- Check out the official snowboard-only edit from the Suzuki Nine Queens, featuring a slew of the world’s best female riders sending it on what is surely one of the sickest snow setups ever constructed. The Nine Queens event has been going on in Livigno for a good while now, but until this year, had only been open for skiers. This year for the first time, the event opened its arms to snowboarders, and we’re hyped on it. The setup, a crazy looking snow-fortress with a whole bunch of different rail and kicker transfer options, was ripped to shreds by the nine invited queens including Spencer O’Brien, Silje Norendal, Isabel Derungs and Jenny Jones.     Snowboarding assisted by Hand-held Jet Engines... Could this be the future (Of something?) Traditional snowboarding isn't going anywhere, we can all be confident of that, but think and dream of the possibilities that this new toy could have. No longer having to use the chair lift to get up the hill, or the grueling hikes to the uncharted peaks; and just think of the trouble these babies could save you on the stupid jeep trails. The verdict is still out, but It might be an interesting future.
